Heuberg Pugs

Larry and Jutta Beard are the founding members of Heuberg Pugs.  They have incorporated a team approach to conditioning, training, showing and raising their pugs.  This team is made up of their daughters Gretchen Savoy, and Natalie Sweeney, son in law Charles  Sweeney, and friends Marilyn Sanders, Meg Lockwood, and Suzanne Smithson.  Each member of the group contributes not only their time and efforts to the improvement of the breed, but also specific specialties in training, raising of puppies, and showing in the breed ring, obedience, and agility.

Directly associated with Heuberg Pugs is Robert Finnegan of Magnum Pugs and Meg Lockwood of Locklan Kennels (http://www.locklankennels.com/).  Meg Lockwood co-owns, raises, trains and shows Heuberg Pugs.  Heuberg co-owns dogs with Robert Finnegan, and exclusively handles his dogs.  Current dogs that are co-owned are Am/Can Ch. Magnum’s Hu Xiao Xiong, Am/Can Ch. Magnum’s Hu Xiao Thunder, Ch. Magnum’s Hu Xiao Yan 2, and Ch. Magnum’s Hu Xiao Lady Lightning.  

When not attending dog shows, members of the Heuberg team are available to assist pet owners, and exhibitors with any concerns they may have about pugs.
